Horatio was in Las Vegas for almost two weeks when Cath came with the question which was on her minds from one day of Horatio´s arrive to Las Vegas. She knew that this question must be answered by man who lives with her and he was so evidently sad even he can be so good actor. He was man with broken heart which has so much long way to its recovery. She suspected that he maybe knew something about her sudden relationship to Grissom but she wasn´t sure with it.

”So Horatio what´s her name? The woman why you left Miami. Who´s the women who broke your heart?” asked him Catherine in the evening of her day off. All things in house was made and Lindsey was asleep in her bedroom. She was glad that she had a male figure in her life again.

“How do you think it, Cath?” Horatio innocently asked.

When I came in Las Vegas lab I knew that it won‘t be easy. Although I was full of enthusiasm and eager to start live for new challenge. I started out as the resident lab rat, sitting quietly in mine lab working away on the loads of evidence and DNA the CSIs brought in, usually responsible for making discoveries about pieces of evidence that would crack a case open. I loved every minute of it but I started to desire more and more to go in the field. I wanted to be an investigator and I was determined to work it out.

I had been full of energy which was a remainder of his former relationship with Kaetlyn. She was only one who could have been possible to calm him down . I loved her for it and I love her also in this moment. She was the best thing which could happen in my life. No wait, I‘ve got a second best thing in my life now. I‘ve got something which had made me smile every morning. I mean ‘my mornings‘. It‘s something special. It was the most precious gift in my life which I could received from someone who was special to me. Someone who loved me with all heart. Someone who I loved to the end of the life. Someone who will live in my heart for the rest of my life.

Santa Claus vs. Baby Jesus -part two

So guys,

what do you think which one is better and more cool. I admit that I am a bit biased. I come from the country where you can find the second one, Baby Jesus.

Every child loves him with all his or her heart and knows that he or she must be very very much good and especially he/she can't do one naughty thing before Christmas. They can't peek through the key hole on Christmas Eve evening. When they will try it and they' re caught, they don't receive any presents.

So this's why I prefer Baby Jesus before Santa Clause.

Chapter three




When Lindsey found, they started dating, she was absolutely excited about it. He wanted to ring every one whom she knew. She wanted badly to shout to the whole world how she was happy. Her favorite uncle Gil was suddenly more with her and her mom than was in the case of theirs parents marriage. Especially when she saw her mom with smile on the face almost every day even if she was a tired after hard day.

Lindsey and he had agreed that they will prepare the biggest surprise of Catherine’s Willows life. They had been thinking about the best time for it until they had discovered how much Catherine loves Christmas. They decided that it will be the best time for it. So everything headed to Christmas Eve. The part of Christmas which was loved by everyone on the world. Everyone was happy and with theirs families. They figured out it would be the moment for change in Willows’ women lives.

It all happened during Midnight Christmas mass. Lindsey knew in which church they’re going to attend the mass. He needed to check it with the father and prepared him for small interruption during the ceremony. He was prepared for everything. Despite his faith in his girlfriend he had been afraid she could have told him no. He had been so afraid of the rejection cause he had believed she could have someone better in her life than him.

It all happened during the mass how he’d planned for long four months. They came into the church in the right time. So Gil led his women to the row where they should sit. It was precisely in a half of church. Catherine was surprised that they were sitting there but she didn’t say anything. She knew that something was up from the looks which were flying between his daughter and Gil. But she never expected the thing which happened in the moment when choir started to sing the old song Oh come all you faithful in its original version. Beautiful bright voices were heard when Gil caught her hand and popped the question.

“Catherine Willows, you’re love of my life. You know me better than I, and even though I can be very mean bastard. You’re always stick with me. Will you marry me? Will you allow me to be a part of your and Lindsey’s life?”

She was shocked and didn’t know what to tell him even though her brain had been screaming yes.

“By the way, I’ve got a permission to propose you from your daughter,” he added with wink.

In that moment she started gaping like a fish. Now, she didn’t know what to say. She was absolutely numb.

“My dear, please, stop gaping. It doesn’t suit you. And be so good as to answer me.”

“Of course, that I will marry you, bugman. I love you so much. I had been dreaming about it from the moment when I saw you for the first time,” she squealed loudly. The whole church heard her and chuckled at the embarrassment of young woman when she realized where she is.

“It’s all your fault, Gil Grissom. I am never going to live it down,” she told him shyly.

“You will be able to live it down. By the way, you need to receive your award for your bravery.”

He told her during the moment when he was slipping an engagement ring on her ring finger. When she looked down on her hand she could see a platinum ring with princess cut diamond in the center and four small pink brilliants on each side of the diamond. It was the ring which they both saw during their first real date. She could remember that she pointed at it and told him that it’s an engagement ring of her dreams. He didn’t forget it. She was blissfully happy.

It was on the Christmas Eve when her life changed forever. She had been listening the choir and one magic song with loves of her life by her side. Lindsey Willows and Gil Grissom.

Chapter two




She had been looking searchingly into his eyes for a few minutes. They both were silent. They needed to find balance for the most important talk in their friendship. She was there for a finale talk with him. Now, It was everything or nothing. She knew that she couldn’t give him room to back off one more time. She corned him as if she was doing it with their suspects. He loved this Catherine Willows and he had fallen in love with her again in the moment when he saw her determined look.

She was so persistent like his mother. She was able to draw him out and spill the beans. She couldn’t say if he was more scared of her or her rejection. She loved him dearly before he was able to form it into his own words.

One sentence is going to pound in his mind for the rest of his life. The life which was so poor and unchallenging without her.

“Gil Grissom, please, don’t forget about it for the rest of your life. You can write somewhere where you will be able to see it every second, minute, day, simply every moment of your life that I love you. Yeah, I, Catherine Willows, love you, Gilbert Grissom, with all my heart. Even more you’re loved by another Willows, Lindsey. She loves you like her dad. You’re a dad whom she had next to her all her time from the moment she was born.”

“Catherine, I love you, too. But now, please, shut up!”

Last thing he could remember from that evening, is that he had been kissing her senseless.

Everything had really changed even though they started dating slowly. They have known each other over fifteen years. They need to be sure that everything is going to work how they want it. They were able to discover the safe land between them and they needed to be sure with everything in their lives, especially Catherine when it came to Lindsey. Even though she knew how much Gil loves her daughter.

He had been seen with the gleam in his eye’s. The lab was full of rumor mill about his life, especially love life. He heard several people who wasn’t aware that he overheard them. He knew how much lab lived for the speculations. He was a supervisor one of the main shift after all and so he knew how they worked in these cases. They had loved to gossip about everyone from the shift and the lab. He wasn’t concern about it.

It had been months from the Haynes’ case and he had been so grateful for it. He was glad that it all happened. Everything seems to go in a blur. He was lucky that he could be with woman like Cath. Now, there was time for the main action of his life. He had been preparing for several months to do it. He was glad that he had a help in Lindsey.

A/N: I decided to name that story after the most famous Christmas carol. This one particular song has been part of my life for last ten years. I sing it every year at Christmas concert with my ‘high school choir’ even though I finished high school five years ago.

This story is dedicated to Jen who managed to persuade me to sign up for the December challenge.

Catherine and he walked into the diner where they met Jim. He called them that he needed them there. Where they came into the dinner they found a reason for his call. He had been watching the ‘couple’ who had been their main suspect in the crime which was committed a few days ago.

“Jim …”, said Gil when they walked into a restaurant.

“Hey. We got the whole place clocked. Keeping an eye on the Haynes
couple. Sheriff doesn't want them skipping town,” he answered him.

“And neither do we. We have a strong suspicion Portia Richmond is
dead,” Gil told him with sparks in his eyes.

He felt how Catherine suddenly froze. Even though he was standing very close to her, he knew she is going soon to try to find a position where she would be able to relax. She did as he predicted. She stepped one foot back to him. He has been feeling at the moment how she had sighed. He allowed her needed relaxation. He had smelled a shampoo from the hair of beautiful strawberry blond woman. He needed to bend his head a bit more. He was close to love of his life.

They watched the Haynes from this position. They both were comfortable. They had watched the couple as they got up to leave. Amanda Haynes draped her coat over a stole on a chair. She kissed Patrick and turned to grab her coat but she picked up both coats. Then she headed out the door.

“Did you see that?” asked Catherine guys beside her.

“They're on the grift,” Grissom simply said.

“She took that fur from right under their noses.”

“Hi. May we check your coats?” asked he.

Gil Grissom was sitting in his office with his head in the hands. He was doing something what he never did. He had been daydreaming. At least everything around him looks like a dream. A dream which became a true. His long life dream about his life with Catherine and her daughter Lindsey, his little butterfly.

After the Haynes’ case everything happened so quickly. He had been home only for several moments when he heard a knock on his door. He was very surprised when he had found that his visitor wasn’t no one other than one certain strawberry blond chic, Catherine Willows. It wasn’t so unusual that she turned up on his door step, especially in times before her divorce from Eddie.

He was surprised but very good surprised. It felt so different. He had felt the changes in his gut. He opened the door and it was the moment when everything in his life changed. Changed so much but he love it from the first minute.

She surprised him with her actions. After he invited her in, she told him to sit down back on a couch and be quiet during the time she talked. She also told him that she need to have all his attention. The things, which are between them, must be sorted out. The things had been fought down for many years.

Gil Grissom was anxious. Today was a day when Catherine had to come back in the lab. He was absolutely stressed with the feelings for her. He had been practicing his speech for long two weeks when he didn’t see her. He waited for the day when she will find out about his feelings for her. Today was his D-day. Although everyone thought that he had lived almost all time in the lab, it wasn’t true. He came a bit sooner into work. He was clothed in his best monkey suite. He needed to be perfect for Catherine.

Man without emotions was walking around his office and looking at the free spot where had been foetal pig sometimes ago. The foetal pig which was in her office now. He often peeked out of his office if he could catch a image of her or only hear her. Suddenly his wish became true and he heard her. He heard her angelic voice in the hallway which was directly next to his office. He waited for few minutes that she will show any moment in his office but nothing happened. He could hear still hear in the hallway so he went looking for her.

He went straight into the course of the conversation. How he had been coming nearer the destination of Catherine, he could hear very unpleasant words which were being said by Warrick.

“Catherine, is it true what I just heard? Do you really quit job here and you’re immediately transferred in Miami?”

“Yeah, War, everything, what you heard, is true. I am leaving Las Vegas,” Grissom heard her answer.
He suddenly froze on the spot. He needed to draw a deep breath. He needed to find all his strength. When he came around the corner which isolated him from Catherine, he saw his worst nightmare. He saw ‘his Catherine’ in the arms of another man. He had wrapped both arms around her waist how he was standing behind her. He had been looking at tall, lean red head man who was clothed in a silk suit.

Grissom came in the peripheral view of Catherine and a stranger.

“Hi, Grissom.”

“Hi, Cath,” he said softly with sadness in his voice.

“So you heard it too, didn’t you?”

“Yeah, I just heard Rick’s words,” he said and absolutely forgot people around her when he asked.

“Can you, please, tell me why? Why are you leaving, Cath?”

“No, it’s not your business,” she answered sharply.

“No, it’s my business. I’ve got right to know why you are leaving Las Vegas, lab and ….,” he suddenly shut up.

“And what, Grissom? Why are you asking me these things?”

“And me,” said Grissom.

“Why do you think about yourself in the first place, Gil?” she shouted at him.

“BECAUSE I LOVE YOU, CATHERINE WILLOWS. THAT’S WHY I’M ASKING YOU THESE QUESTIONS,” yelled Grissom out.

“Fantastic, great Gil Grissom find his gut but I must tell you that you figured it out too late. Yeah, I admit I loved you. Yes, I am talking in the past cause I found a man who loves me and my daughter with all his heart. And what’s more, he doesn’t judge me. By the way, I love him too. We‘re getting married.”

With these words she turned in the arms of her fiance and kissed him. After that they walked out of the lab.

Gil Grissom watched how love of his life is walking away from him and he hadn’t any power to stop it.

Her time in Miami had been count downed now. She has only last three days before her departure from Miami back to Las Vegas. It was the evening when everything had changed.

Catherine was sitting on the back porch of Horatio’s house. This evening was only one when he wasn’t home before Lindsey went sleep. It became their habit. Their all had felt like some normal family where you could find mother, father and a child. He called them and said he’d got a tough case but he will manage to come home in the night. He had been feeling sorry for the time which he’ s going to lose with them. She could said it due to his sad line in his voice. She have been trying to be happy about her way back in Las Vegas. She should be happy but she wasn’t. She became comfortable here. Miami was suddenly her city not Las Vegas. And what more she could count on Horatio. He knew everything about her former life before she became a CSI and especially about her difficult relationship with Gil Grissom. She had found herself more and more thinking about the chances of her relationship with this man. She had stopped see him as if he was only her friend and there had been friendship between them. She knew very well that she left Miami with a slight crush for certain red head lieutenant. However, it was in the time when she had been thinking about Gil Grissom and their common chance for moving on another step in their relationship. That they will be able to build a family up. The family which was their dream but instead they had started to drift apart. The reasons and situations came and left theirs lives but they weren’t able to sit down together and talk about it. They screwed up everything what had ever been between them. They lost each other.

And now, she was here. She was in the most beautiful spot of Miami. She had been sitting on the back porch of Horatio Caine’s house. Her feet were in the cooling sand and she was waiting for him. She knew that she had been falling in love with this amazing man. She was looking at the night’s ocean. She loved how the waves were lazy coming to the shore. It reminded her a life which is lived with its upside down situations. She was so much lost in track of her thoughts that she didn’t hear Horatio’s arrive. She didn’t even hear his steps until someone cleared throat behind her. She was surprised when she turned her head and saw him how he had been looking piercingly at her. She felt the heat of his gaze.

“Hey, beautiful,” he said lazily.

“Hey, handsome,” answered Catherine same way.

“What are you doing here so alone? I thought I will find you again asleep before a television,” he was teasing her.

“Hey, it happened only one time. By the way, did you forget that I wasn’t only one who had slept before television?” she told him and tried to remind him the first time when he had held her in his arms. She had felt so safe and content here.

“Ok, ok, peace, my dear Catherine,” he said playfully during his way to the place where she was sitting. He slowly sat down next her. The silence spread around them.

“Penny for your thoughts,” Horatio asked softly.

“Not worth that much.” Her voice was barely audible.

“To me their priceless. But let me guess! You’re thinking about a return to Las Vegas.” He noted.

“Yeah,” was heard in the moonshine night.

“More precisely, you have been thinking about him, Gil Grissom.”

“Yeah,” was heard once more time from Catherine.

After several minutes of silence which had been hanging in the air, Horatio asked crucial question.

“Do you still love him?”

“Yeah, I love still him.” Answered Catherine.

“ I can see it. He is one lucky man.”

“Horatio, please, let me tell you something,” she was telling him and turned to him. She leaned slightly into his arms. It was so simple when he was next to her.

“I can still love him but it’s all I can feel for him. I loved him like a possible lover and husband for long time. I think that it was same with our friendship. I love him but now it’s only a good friend who will have a important place in my heart.”

Catherine silenced for few moments.

“But I am in love with someone else,” she whispered in the night.

“What did you just say?”

“I said I fell in love with someone else. I am in love with one amazing man who loves my daughter and he was able to get to know me in two weeks. I am in love with you, Horatio Caine. I can love Gil Grissom but I’m not in love with him. I love only and only you.”

“That’s good to know because I am in love with you, too,” he told her with love in his eyes.

He stood up and extended his hand to Catherine who grabbed his hand and squeezed it firmly. He pulled her out from the steps of the back porch and caught her into his embrace. He had watched her long time and searched for her permission in her eyes. She had started to be impatient with his actions. He wanted kiss her senseless but he was enjoying to torture her. He slowly leaned in the long waited kiss when she grabbed him by the collar and pulled his lips to hers. Pushing with a great force until their lips became mingled together. After a couple of minutes they both pulled away breathless. They were staring at each other for a few moments. After the while Horatio turned Catherine in his arms. She had been leaning with her back against his chest. Two strong arms were wrapped around her waist, surrounding her with feeling of warmth and security. They both were looking out at the vast ocean.

The days in the house on the beach were wonderful. She had been loving it. She had found her way back to her daughter. She was able to get to know her once more time. It was almost same as she was a small bundle of joy and she needed to learn how to look after her. They both had been relaxing all days. They had explored Miami alone or sometimes with Horatio. Even more Horatio was willing to go with them in a mall when they had been in mood for one of theirs shopping raids. She suspected him he was doing it with some ulterior motive even she couldn’t prove it. She had felt that his motive was only a desperately needed feeling of family. The things which he had miss so much.

She had felt it the same way like Horatio. She enjoyed their time together when they were all considering by people around them as a small happy family. She cherished these moments. It felt so familiar to her. It was like in old times with Gil. In the times when he suddenly turned up on her door steps with announcement about their afternoon program. He had taken them almost everywhere where he knew it and Lindsey could be happy little spoiled girl. He was so caring in those times but one day, everything had turned upside down and they both changed. It hurt her and had been still hurting but she managed to cope with it. Even more in these days when she was with Horatio. She had often caught herself in the thoughts about Horatio. It was more and more times than she was ever thinking about Gil lately. She knew that she had been falling in love with him.
She knew it. And she also knew that he had been sensed it. Their were able to communicate like the one person even though they knew each other for so short time. Although it could be absolutely impossible for people around them, they simply clicked. They both were happy and were drawn closer to each other.
Horatio, Lindsey and she had been a family. It was something more than she could ever have with Grissom. Something what was needed in her life and she would love to have it again.

“Ladies, so where you will be staying during your time in Miami?” he asked them when they came into his office and he offered them a couch so they could sit down.

“Oh, I don´t know cause I didn´t book any hotel,” Catherine told him,”I thought that you could give me some tip, Horatio.”

“Of course that you can count on me. I am going to give you one great tip?” he said with grin.

“Where I can find it?” Catherine was so impatient.

“Horatio, I know what you are trying to do and I appreciate it. I can´t allow it you. I came here to stay for a vacation. I can afford it, Horatio,” she told him with anger.

“Catherine, please calm down,” he tried to talk to her with patient, “I know that you can afford it but I am happy you find your way back into Miami. I would like to have you and your daughter as my guests.”

“And of course, I would like to catch what´s new in your life and what’s the main reason of your visit here,” he added with smile.

“Horatio, you know very well that.…” Catherine tried to talk some sense in him.

“Catherine, please, it would be my pleasure. I’ m doing it selfishly cause I want to have some company in my life. I would be so glad if I could come home and find there someone who will be waiting for me.” He winked at her.

“Moooooooooooom, please, can we go to live on the beach? Please, mom, pretty pretty please with cherry on top,” Lindsey was begging with puppy look.

“Lindsey, what do you think that you are just doing?” Catherine asked her daughter.

“Moooooooooooooooom, please, come on,” Horatio said like Lindsey before. “It will be fun, moooooooooooom, come on.”


“Mister Caine, did you realize what are you doing? You’re a monster and when it will come to my daughter she is another one.” She said.

“Ok, guys, I will give my promise to both of you but I need to have your word, yeah, that I am not going to cook during my vacation.”

“No problem mom, I will be happy when I can have you in my place. And if this is yours only one condition, it will be my pleasure to become your chief. I love cooking so it isn’t any problem.” Horatio said happy.

Catherine was shocked. She was standing in the middle of the hall in the lab. She has been looking at how her ‘best friend’ was going away from her. She was feeling like she was suddenly frozen. She could have known that Grissom would be so mad with her but she had hoped that it will not be so much bad.
She could hear his comment "I guess that‘s why I don‘t go out" in her mind again and again. After all it was his fault what had happened between them. He was the one who called her cause he was without his team. He need her help. It wasn´t her. He tried to be her judge one more time. He was trying to show her she shouldn’t have any personal life but she ought to be with Lindsey and her mom at home. The man who hadn’t have his own life and who had been living all time in the lab. The man who didn’t do anything about his co-worker silly crush. No, he was one who was supporting it and he was trying to use for himself. He was suddenly so selfish.
She has been thinking she knows him more than anyone else but she found that it isn´t true anymore. They’ d so much distance between them in that moment. They could talk with each other but it was only about their work now when they sometime met each other. Their strong friendship was irretrievable after last two years. He was also reason why the former team was split up. She had tried to be fair to him although he was so cold to her and he loved to make sick comments about her father whom she didn´t want. All the same, she tried to be happy but it wasn´t allowed. She was feeling that she’ s starting to loose in their common past. That all must end. It was time to cut it off and try to start again.
She came back from her frozen form. She decided that the time of her vacation was here. She‘ s got a lot of time which she could use to have it. She turned back to the corridor which she came with Grissom only a few minutes ago. She needed to go to find Ecklie and handled him her request for immediate leave.

She found him in his office after a moment of her looking up for him. She knocked on the doorframe of the office and waited for his reaction on her presence here. She hadn’t to wait for long time. After several second she could see how he raised his head from the paperwork which he was doing.
“Catherine, can I do something for you?” he asked her with raised eyebrow. “I though that everything around the case was cleared up.”
“Yes, it was Conrad. I’m here because I need to ask you for permission about my immediate vacation,” she told him firmly.
“Catherine, is it really necessary? You know that you´re one of ours supervisors and your team will be short handed. I though that everything was all right after our talk.”
“Conrad, I was thinking it too but I found that I need to have some time from the lab and some distance from everything what had happened last night,” she explained him patiently.
“Ok, Catherine, you´ve got all time you need. But can I ask you where I can find you if it will be necessary?” he told her after few moments of thinking.
“Of course, I will not turn my cellular phone off and if you need to know where I will be you need to remember Miami,” she answered him and turned away how she was heading out of his office. He stopped her with his last question.
“By the way, Catherine, who want you have as your substitute?“
“Warrick Brown.” And with this answer she went away.

When she was heading out of the building she must meet Grissom one more time. She ran in to him literally.
“Catherine, why are you still here? I though that you were somewhere on your way to visit some club. Or can I think that it´s one of the evening when you will be home with your daughter?” he asked her sarcastically.
“Grissom, you will have one answer after another. First, I’m still here cause I needed to have solved something with Ecklie. Second, no, I’m not going to some club so I can have a fun. Third, yes, I’m going to home so I can be with my daughter, Lindsey. We have a lot before us this evening. I need book plane tickets for us and go to pack my luggage. Yeah, I am taking some time away from the lab. So, please, you must excuse me because I have a lot of things which I need to have settled before me,” she said sharply him and went quickly out of his presence.
Grissom was suddenly in same situation as was Catherine before. He was only able to said.
“Catherine….”

She was still smiling over memory how Lindsey had been jumping in the air for awhile and after that she quickly ran into her room so she can have all prepared soon. She was so excited that she couldn´t asleep during the night.
Catherine was so glad that she made this decision and she had prepared all for it. When she could hear how her daughter was dancing around her room, she must laugh loudly. She was suddenly without bad feelings which were in her after ugly talk with her former best friend.
She was suddenly whipped out from her memories. Someone was trying to get her attention. She has been looked around her when she saw who was her attacker. No one than her daughter.
“Hey Linds, what´s up?“ she said.
“Mom, they´re just calling that our plane is ready. Come on, come on, please!!“ she was telling her anxiously.
“Ok, ok, I am coming,“ she told her with laugh, “you don´t have to be nervouse cause it´s first call and we‘ll be on the board at the time.“

“Thanks for yours, actually,” she told him grinning at him

She smiled at him widely.

When she saw how her daughter was happy, she had found her all strength and went to take a cab which would take her towards the headquarter of Miami Dade police department. She was on her way to the cab when she suddenly realized that something was missing. She missed silent steps which had been going to behind her. So she turned around and saw that Lindsey who stand in front of the airport, and she didn’t look like she is going to make another step until she will know what will happen in the next moment. Where will be their next stop.
“Hey Lindsey, come. We need to make some stop before we will head into hotel,” she yelled into distance at her.
“Mom, what do you mean by the term ‘stop’? I hope that this vacation isn´t about work if it is I can´t tell you what I am thinking about it,” Lindsey jumped into the conclusion.
“Lindsey, this isn´t about work although it may seem it to you. We are going to stop in the headquarter of Miami Dade police department cause I would like to said hello one old friend,” she told her and without anything more she went straight in the cab which was waiting for them why they were arguing with each other.

Catherine was ignoring her stubborn daughter during the ride of a cab towards the headquarters. When they have been starting to get nearer and nearer the building where she worked once in her life, she was suddenly hit with the feelings if she made a right decision. She didn´t know if he hasn´t been married now. She saw sparks between his ballistic specialist and him. She could see another Gil and Catherine in them. She didn´t want intrude abruptly into his life. She wanted turn back and went to find some hotel. However, she could hear some constantly buzzing in her head, it was something which was saying her that she´s doing right thing.

Catherine has been walking to the reception of the lab with her pissed daughter behind her. When she came to her destination, the reception desk, she asked a young woman if she can give a call to Lieutenant Caine that he has got a visitors in the reception.

“Lieutenant Caine, can you please come in the reception? You‘ve got a visit here,“ she called him immediately.
“OK, sir, I will tell them that you will be there in few moments,” she repeated loudly his answer so that Catherine could it hear. She can see how she nodded that she heard it. Catherine went to sit next to Linds who was annoyed from the place where they were.

She has been watching the rush of the lab when they were sitting. She was suddenly back in Las Vegas with Grissom. She had been waiting when she would see him how he´s going to walk from behind corner and how he would her greeted with smile on his face and shy greeting. She could heard how his steps were sounding near to her. But when she looked up she didn´t see Gil Grissom but Horatio Caine who talked with a receptionist where he can find his visit. She saw how he was turned in the way that a young woman had showed him.
“Catherine Willows,” he said with smile in the face, “what a surprise. What do I owe the pleasure to have you here, Catherine?”
She just must smiled at the picture of the man before her. She saw absolute perfect gentleman who was standing in front of her. The man who was so different from Grissom. Unlike him you could see Horatio Caine in some silk suit every time you met him. He was one of the guys who was so natural when it came to a fashion and mode. She didn´t miss to look at his hands when he was toying with his always present sunglasses.
“Is it work which had been bring in Miami?” he added.
She has had to laugh at his question.
“No, not this time Lt. Caine,” she told him playfully while she was standing and went to stand next to him.
“I came to visit Miami cause I need a vacation and I thought that Miami is the best place for it. Do you know perhaps better place?” she said.
“Of course, not. You can find better place which hot sand on the beach at this time of a year. By the way, this is also only one place where you can swim in the ocean,” he told her with wink.
“Catherine, by the way, who´s the young lady who is sitting behind you?” he asked.
“Oh sorry, I totally forgot. It´s my daughter, Lindsey.” She turned a bit her head and called her.
“Lindsey, please, come here. I would like to introduce you to someone.”

She turned her attention back to Horatio. They were just looking and smiling at each other. They could hear how Lindsey was groaning when she heard her command.
“Lindsey, this´s Lieutenant Horatio Caine who I worked on a case here several years ago,” she told her while she was smiling at Horatio.
“Nice… Nice to meet you, Mr. Caine,” she said through the teeth.
“Nice to meet you too, Miss Willows,” he answered.
“Ladies, what will you say if we all are going to my office now and we can continue in our conversation,” he invited them.
Cath and Lindsey had looked at each other and told him yes in unison.

Christmas

Yeah, guys,
I know that I'm repeating myself with this theme but I can't help myself. I love Christmas and I think that it's one of the most important feast. People must be with theirs families and friends. The people who are so important for us, need to know that we love them and we are thinking about them when we can tell them.

I found a lot of new people during this year and someone them turned into my friends. I went through the hard year but I've got supporters beside me and I am glad that I've go them. They all know who they are. I know they will hate me if I said a word about it. Although it's time to clarify that they all are my strenght and I need to thank them for everything they made for me.

Christmas story

Christmas story is one of the most important tasks in that moment. I need to have it finished on 17th December. I'm trying to write some good stuff. At least I think that it will be good and people will like it.

This story is CSI story again. This time I went back in the time and I'm writing about season one. I chose the episode Table Stakes which is most favourite episode of my pal Jennifer who supports me from the first moment since I had been writing.

This story is going to be titled Adeste Fideles. I love this song and I hope you will like my new Catherine/Grissom story.

WOW

I am just listening some songs which I downloaded today. These're christmas carols. I never knew that Bruce Springsteen recorded also some of them. I love this singer cause he's got absolutly magnificant voice. It's so much low voice. We can find her a slight edge of roughness when he is singing a tessitura part.It's bloody fantastic.

I found also a new boys group, at least for me, Il Divo who are singing in english and spanish language and I like it a lot. I think that they had recorded one of the best christmas album which I have ever heard. Ok, It's not so good like the one which I recorded with the school quoir where I sang for long nine years. We've got a disco hit. It was pretty poor album.

Greg's story - another teaser

It took months to persuade her that she could believe me. She could have a fate in me and mine charming person. Everyone had been thought that I was and am a guy of one night stands. They were able to see this side. The side which has been showing how funny, charming and came-day-go-day person, I am. They couldn’t see through that mask but Kaetlyn managed it. She had found I hate to be known as a shag-boy. She had found my own face and she started to like it. I felt that we started slowly falling in love with each other. It was the best time of my life.

We were together for four years and all the time we were making plans for our future. We had been dreaming about a family of our own. We knew how we will have named our children long time before it happened. Yeah, it had happened in the end but we had to go through a lot of obstacles in our lives.

Music

Music is one of the things which are good for writing. When you need some good idea, you need only one thing, music. Listen music. You can choose if you would like to listen your favourite singer or band, or some good mix.

I found that the best are so called 'wedding songs'. Yeah, you're reading right. It's a group of songs where you can find the most romantic songs. I love it absolutly. It gives you a very good idea for your story, especially when you've got a writer's block. It helps so much.

So when you need to write something, go to your favourite music. It helps and you will feel a lot of better than you were only few moments ago.

Christmas - The Gift

Hi Guys,
today is St.Nicholas day. In my country is this day celebrated day before the name's day of St.Nicholas. I think that, as eveyrone else, we receive a lot of sweets and types of fruit. We love it even if we are already too old for it. It seems to have almost same effect as it had in the time when we were chidren. We loved it.

Horatio was in Las Vegas for almost two weeks when Cath came with the question which was on her minds from one day of Horatio´s arrive to Las Vegas. She knew that this question must be answered by man who lives with her and he was so evidently sad. He was man with broken heart which has so much long way to its recovery. She suspected that he maybe knew something about her sudden relationship to Grissom but she wasn´t sure with it.

”So Horatio what´s her name? The woman why you left Miami. Who´s the women who broke your heart?” asked him Catherine in the evening of her day off. All things in house was made and Lindsey was asleep in her bedroom. She was glad that she had a male figure in her life again.

So there is a teaser from my new story. It will be Christmas story as you can see from the titel. It would be Cath/Grissom pairing, yeah, it's so surprising. I know that I am one of the Grillows fans but I love it and it seems to be so good in the stories.

Gil Grissom was sitting in his office with his head in the hands. He was doing something what he never did. He had been daydreaming. At least everything around him looks like a dream. A dream which became a true. His long life dream about his life with Catherine and her daughter Lindsey, his little butterfly.

After the Haynes’ case everything happened so quickly. He had been home only for several moments when he heard a knock on his doors. He was very surprised when he had found that his visitor isn’t no one than one certain strawberry blond chic, Catherine Willows. It wasn’t so unusual that she turned up on his door steps, especially in times before her divorce with Eddie.

John Lennon was a genious when it came to music. I love his voice from the first time when I heard it. I was seven years old and my father came back from long bussiness trip, he was for several months in Turkey. Cause I live in Czech republic, he went back via Wienna where he bought the walkman. It was around 1988 and my country was still under communist government.

I was listening The Beatles like my bedtime story. I always like two voices, John Lennon and Paul McCartney. When I was 16 years old I started singing in the choir. We sang that song a few years ago.

Summary: What will happen if we found that the end of Way to go was only game. That it was only bet between Catherine and Gil. What was in a pool? (November challenge)



Grissom laid and propped up on his elbow on the bed in a blue and white shirt, pondering death. His eyes were wandering around the room which he wanted to see only in his worst nightmare. He knew that he must go along this game if he would like to win Catherine’ s hand and her acceptance of his proposition. He proposed her. It all started like an innocent bet with Cath about the paperwork. Who will do it for next few months. And it all escalated this way.

“I don't know. Most people want to die in their sleep, I suppose. Never know that it's happening.” Grissom continues to think out loud.

“Like a crime scene. Surprise, you're dead. I'd prefer to know in advance that I was going to die. I'd like to be diagnosed with cancer, actually. Have some time to prepare.”Grissom sighs as he stares off in the distance and continues to ponder death.

“Go back to the rain forest one more time. Re-read 'Moby Dick.' Possibly enter an international chess tournament.”

Sara entered the bedroom and heads toward Grissom while he continues to ponder death and good-byes.

“At least have enough time to say good-bye to the people I love.”Sara kneeled down in front of the bed, her arms reaching out along the bed cover. She shook her head and smiled as she responded.

“I'm not ready to say good-bye.”

“Sara, but I’m ready to say goodbye, especially to you.” he told her with joyful face.

“What? How d-do y-y-ou mean it, Gil?” she asked him. She tried to be calm but he could see how much she was trembling.

“I mean it exactly how I said it. I AM prepared to say goodbye to you. I enjoyed the game which I played with you, and by the way I wasn´t the only one who you were made a good laugh. You can guess who is the second person, Sara.”

“Catherine.” She stated.

“Touché, Sara. Yeah, it is Catherine,” he said while he was tried to find his mobile so he could call Cath.

“I won the bet. I hope that you're prepared, Cath”, he said into the mobile at the moment when he heard Willows in the phone. He got up from the bed where he was laying before.

“Thank you for the several funniest weeks. Have a nice evening, Sidle.” he told her in the moment when he was on his way from her apartment.


This all happened a few weeks ago when the crew was trying to find their lost balance after the attack on Jim. They all were so vulnerable and Grissom found the best moment in his life when he could let Sara Sidle down. She seemed that she couldn´t catch any hint which he sent her. ‘I don’ t want you. I’m not interest in you, girl.’

He has been thinking about the way how it all started.

Cath and he were sitting in their favorite dinner and they were bickering each other when suddenly someone came on. He caught glimpse of the person form and he groaned.

“Gil, what happened?” Cath asked him.

“Sidle,” was all he could said.

“Holy shit, Gil, you know pretty well that I am telling it you for a few years but you were so stubborn and didn´t want to acknowledge it. You know she’ s got a thing for you but you are trying to ignore it.”

“Ok, ok, I know you´ve got true and the right be so sharp at me. I am going to do something with it,” he told her.

“You, Gil Grissom, are going to do something about it? Are you kidding me, Gil? You, as you like to say himself, are non-person man and you are going to let Sara Sidle down. It’s absolutely impossible thing.” She said in disbelief.

“Ok, Catherine, we are going to make a deal. It would be a bet between us which we used to have some time ago.”

“Sounds good. What’ s in a pool?” she asked.

“If… if I win that bet you are going to marry me,” he told her, “and if you win it, I will be your slave in everything what you will desire.”

“What did you just said? Marry you? Gil, I can help myself but I’m starting to think that you’re insane. By the way, have you said after the first shocking sentence that you will be ‘my slave for one long year’?”

“Yeah, I said it.”

“Even if I told you that you will be doing all paperwork for me, honey.” She asked him mischievously.
All what was heard after that suggestion was Grissom’s groaning.

“Are you afraid that you will lose it?” she teased him.

“No way. I suggested it because I know very well that I will be winner.”

“Man, don’t be so sure with yourself.”

“So, Cath, did we make a deal or not.” he winked at her.

“Yeah, it’s a deal.”

“So, what’ s your plan, pal?” she asked.

"No, I am not going to tell you, Ms. Willows."

"No, go ahead, please, speak your mind!!"

“I’m not going to tell you. I figured out what I must do but I’m not going to say it you.” He answered her calmly and his voice told her that she wouldn’ t find anything even though she would be trying all her tricks on him.

“Gil, honey, are you ok?” Catherine asked him when she came in the room where he was sitting.

He was so comfortable that he didn’t notice her. So she was able to watch him for a few moments. He had a goofy smile in his face.

Suddenly she has been feeling that he registered her. She didn’t know how he was doing it but when it came to her he had some six sense. He knew almost every time when she was in the room or somewhere near to him. She decided she will discovered his secret.

“Yep, I am Ok. No Ok is bad word how to describe what I am feeling just now, darling. I’ve got the best time of my life. And everything it’ s due to you and our little bet.”

“Yeah, our little bet. It was the best moment in our relationship for twenty years. I am glad we made a deal how you had been insisted on it. I was never more happy than I am now and same thing I can say about Lindsey. She’ s glowing with happiness that you’re with us now and you will be for the rest of our life. We are forming a family just now and maybe one day we could try to have another baby, Gil.”

“Are you sure, Catherine? I know you are afraid that something bad could happen but I’ m pretty sure that everything will be fine. We will figure out our future soon, darling.”

She was gazing at him lovingly. She could see a man who found his way through the life. He found that everything don’ t have to be like a cocoon. He survived so much in his life and had been afraid of the world around him that he had built thick wall around his heart and himself. She was only one whho could go through it and was able to discover the path into his heart and soul. He was so amazing when he was with her daughter. He had a heart full of love and passion. He’s sweet, caring, and unbelievably hot. He was so natural with children although it was a thing which was the last thing about him who would be thinking people in the lab.

“By the way, love, what were you thinking about before I approached you?” she asked curiously.

“I was thinking about the day when we made a deal and our life story started.” he answered her when he was gazing into her eyes.

“And were you thinking also about the day D when everything had became clear for Sara?” she asked.

“ Of course that I was thinking about it but you was one who broke track of minds of mine, “ he answered.

“Oh, I am so sorry, mister.” she told him. “Would you like to share our memories together?”

“Yeah, you can bet on it, He told her back while he was standing up from the couch where he was sitting during their talk.

He walked slowly to her and grabbed her a bit roughly by one of hers hand. He caught her in his arms and held her tightly. His arms were doing a slow way from her waist to her face which he had been holding between both of his hands. He was longingly looking into her eyes.

Grissom was so much pleased with himself how he found the best way to let Sara Sidle down. He was goofing. He was so non - gruesomely Grissom. He was happy. He found a way how to trick his Catherine that she’ s going to marry him. He loved for so long time as it seems so unbelievably.

He had been grinning also cause he had caught Sara absolutely out of balance. She was thinking all the time when Cath and he were playing ‘the relationship game’ with her, he would have to have something with her. Why she was so foolish? She was nothing for him. She was like a daughter or baby sister to him.

He was impatiently waiting before the Bellagio fountain for Catherine. He was clothed in his suit which he wore when Catherine came back from Miami. At that time he hated each moment when he had to wear it. Today was but different situation. Today was finally day when he will married love of his life. When he will find his sun in the sky.

“Hey handsome, are you waiting for someone? Would you mind if I will be waiting with you?” someone whispered in his ear. He was startled by Catherine.

“Argh, Catherine Willows, what did I tell you about sneaking on me from behind? By the way, how is it possible cause I was looking for you through the crowd of the people?” he asked her with raised eyebrow.

“I … I came here from the Rampart. I needed to leave Lindsey with mom cause Nancy is out of the city. So you know why I could approach you from behind.” she said innocently.

“Did you tell Lindsey about our plans?” he asked without the comment on Rampart situation.

“Yeah, I told her. She was so happy that she was going to call the rest of team at the first moment. I must stop her and I needed to said that it´s our big secret for a while. So she swore on his favorite uncle Gil.”

“Great, so why are we still standing here, soon -to-be-Mrs.Grissom? I think that it´s time for us to go to married.” he said and pulled her out of the Strip. They went into small chapel near the Strip where they are going to be married.

How he led her behind him he turned a bit his head around and said:

“By the way, Cath, I love you.”

Catherine came into the club with Nick. He was annoying her if she had knew about Grissom and the rest of team. If she knew if they will come too. She tried to be patient with him so she told him that Grissom told her yes. He was happy cause Gil Grissom was a man who was very important for Nick, especially after he was kidnapped almost two years ago.

When they came into the club the music doesn´t play and Nick had mischievous look in his face. It looks how he knew something what was very important for this evening. Almost how he had known that she’d got a small box with two rings in her purse. Two rings whose she received from her husband. She didn’t know how he every time found what she loves when it came to jeweler. He told her that he had got almost twenty years for it. He was looking for the right ring every free moment, of course, if he wasn’t hiding in his office before Ecklie. He searched so long as was possible but he found it. He chose matching rings. It was platinum and diamond wedding band with accent area of pink gold set with nature pink diamonds. You could see also white diamonds whose were set on three sides of the ring and the pink diamonds set in the center pink gold section. She loved her engagement ring and she thought that nothing can’ t be more beautiful but in the moment when Gil pulled out the matching band from his pocket, she was stunned. She was speechless. She was glad the part ‘I do’ was behind them cause she knew she would be in trouble. Gil and she decided that it was the best time for their secret. They decided to bring to light that they were married for several months.



“So do you think Grissom will show?” asked Nick
“Not if he thinks he as to dance,” she answered him although she knew he will come.
Nick chuckled. They turned their attention to the stage exactly in the moment when the moderator was announcing John Mayer.

“Ooh, I like him,” Catherine said after she heard it.

“You got to dance,” Nick took Catherine’ s hand and led her to the dance floor, “Come on, let's go. My God.”

John Mayer started his performance with the song ‘Waiting on the world change’ and Catherine and Nick started dancing. Cause they both were the great dancers they were making amazing pair in dance floor. When the song was ending and the audience applauded and cheered, Nick saw a blonde-haired woman he seemed to recognize.

“I think I know her,” Nick told her suddenly.“Yeah, I bet you do,” Cath chuckled.“Ask her to dance,” she said.

“Yeah?” asked her.

“I'm going to get a drink,” she told him firmly.

“You're sure?”

“Go for it,” she was saying while she was leaving the dance floor and headed over to the bar.


Catherine sat at the bar. The bartender leaned over and pointed to a man who was sitting at the far end of the counter. “The guy down there wants to buy you your next drink,” he said.Catherine turned and looked at the man. She shook her head.” “No, thanks,” she said back to the bartender.When the bartender left Catherine looked suspiciously at her drink and pushed it aside, she turned and was listening to the music as she watched Nick on the dance floor. She had been watching how he was dancing with his ‘new victim of his south charm’ on the next John Mayer’ s song. She was enjoying the picture in front of her when she suddenly felt someone’ s arm sneaking around her waist.

“Hey beautiful,” she heard well known voice in her ear, “can I buy you next drink?”
She leaned into the man who had been standing behind her and lazily said.

“You are allowed to do it always, honey.”

“Wow, that’s the best news which I received today. But I … I know about something better than is another drink,” he said huskily.

“And what is it?”

“ I can’t say but I can show you, “ he whispered and turned her in his embrace and captured hungrily her mouth.

Nick who was planning to disappear from the club and trying to catch Catherine‘s attention, was caught by picture which he saw. He could see his boss how he had been hungrily kissing his best friend. He was stunned cause it looks like someone found his courage to do the most important step of his life. Suddenly he caught something glitter on Catherine’s left hand. It looked like a wedding band. He chuckled to himself.

They two was meant to be together. He was glad that they managed to work it between them. He thought he was discrete but the contrary was the case. He was watched by his friends and his co-workers if he saw it.

“Hey Gil, do you think he saw us?” she asked him.

“Yeah, darling, I can said it. Turn and you will see,” he winked at her.

When she turned around, she could see Nick on the side of the dance floor how he was pulling out his cellular phone and dialing someone’ s number.

“Hey Rick, bro, I’m sorry that I am bothering you but I have to tell you something important. Catherine and Grissom are married,” he talked excitedly in the phone during his way out of the club.

When he was almost out he could hear how the moderator said that John Mayer is going to sing a song which is dedicated to one amazing woman, Catherine Grissom. He also caught first words of the song ‘Just the way you look tonight.
